Physical ARA (DES) deals

March 25, 2009: On March 23, 2009 at physical thermal coal market of globalCOAL, two ARA DES deals of ACPRS (Australian, Colombian, Polish, Russian and South African) coal were realized.

Out of these a deal of 50,000 tons (delivered at Amsterdam/Rotterdam) for delivery in May 2009 was pegged at $65.50 per ton fob, while the other of 150,000 tons (delivered at Amsterdam/Rotterdam) for delivery in the fourth quarter 2009 was realized at $74 per ton fob.

According to Tex Report data, at the same market on March 20, 2009, an ARA (DES) deal (delivered at Amsterdam/Rotterdam) of 150,000 tons of ACPRS coal for delivery in the fourth quarter 2009 was settled at $68.60 per ton fob.
