Mittal expects fall in iron ore prices
February 12, 2009: ArcelorMittal has predicted a huge drop in iron ore prices this year.
An international media report quoted chairman and chief executive officer L.N. Mittal as saying, "Iron ore prices will have to go down in view of the global economic crisis and low demand for steel this year. What we saw as a substantial increase last year has to reverse and we're hoping for this conclusion in the next couple of weeks."
