June crude output up 6.8% on higher output

July 29, 2010: The country's crude oil production rose 6.8% in June based on higher output from Rajasthan fields operated by Cairn India.

Crude oil output rose to 2.93 mt in June this year as against 2.75 mt a year ago, according to data released by Petroleum Ministry here.
Cairn India is producing about 110,000 barrels per day (5.5 mt a year) from the Mangala oilfield in the Rajasthan block.
