Green Sourcing

Green sourcing is the latest service we have launched at mjunction. This service enables purchase managers to become environment friendly in their purchase by getting quick access to energy efficient product substitutes, ideas on how to lower carbon footprint of manufacturing companies and implement climate change projects in quick, efficient manner with costs under control.

Green sourcing directly relates to organisational activity towards climate change.
In the usual purchase procedures that are followed in India, the factors that play a role in purchase decisions are price of the products, quality of the product and delivery committment. The often outcome of this procedure is the purchased items works well for the organisation in the short term, but the environment is shortchanged. And how is the climate is affected? Because the products that we buy are not energy efficient, they waste natural resources and are produced by suppliers who emit a lot of Green House Gases during their production process.
Green Sourcing thus enalbes purchase managers to be environment friendly in their purchase.
We do this by doing the following for you:-
In the first step, mjunction offers purchase managers a choice of energy efficient products which will help them have a long term lowering of cost, ie a lower Total Cost of Ownership, as well as be environment friendly in their purchase decisions.
mjunction with its long experience of sourcing support, will help companies switch some of their current products being used from being high energy consuming to low energy consuming products.

In the second step, we will introduce the energy efficiency factor in products in the normal sourcing process. Then the purchase managers can take purchase decisions based not only on price & quality but also energy efficiency.
The last step in our activity will be to look at the internal process of suppliers and determine who has a energy efficient process and who doesn't. Thereafter, purchase managers can factor in supplier green credentials in their purchase process.
Many European companies have targets given to them by their respective governments to reduce CO2, hence quite a few of them have already started many of these practices.

In India very soon we will have no choice but to adopt.

We are now mjunction

Over the years we have grown in every respect - services, people, reach, infrastructure and revenue. As we continue to grow and add value to the supply chains we serve, we have broadened our horizons beyond the world of steel and metals.

We thus felt that the time was ripe to give ourselves a new name, a new identity to reflect our metamorphosis. So we heralded the new year with a new brand name and logo, and we have become mjunction services limited from metaljunction services limited. Other business units under the mjunction umbrella continue to have identities of their own.

Though our name has changed, and our horizons widened, our values haven't. We will continue to bring greater efficiency, convenience and transparency to even more supply chains in the future with the innovative use of IT and the Internet.
