On April 1, mjunction conducted an auction for the first four coils from Tata Steel KPO. Though it was conducted like any other auction, it was different because mjunction not only waived its fee for the event, but also did not collect any earnest money deposit (EMD) from the bidders.

The entire proceeds of the auction - Rs 1.49 crore will go to the Tata Medical Centre in Kolkata, which plays a key role in cancer care in the eastern region of the country.

mjunction was instrumental in buyer management for the event, and got 52 distributors and buyers on board. It also hosted the auction through the Tata Astrum portal in order to support Tata Steel in making the event a success.

This is not the first time that mjunction has supported this noble cause. On two earlier occasions, it had contributed in a similar manner. In May 2014, it was for the auction of four coils from the first lot of Tata Steel's Continuous Annealing & Processing Line at Jamshedpur. On an earlier occasion, it was for an auction of TSCR coils by Tata Steel.
