Vinaya Varma is MD & CEO of mjunction services limited.
He joined mjunction in February 2001 as a part of its founding team.
He is a B. Tech from IIT Kanpur and has completed his Advanced Management Program from IIM Calcutta. Prior to joining mjunction, Vinaya was at Tata Steel, where he was also part of several big transformational projects such as Business Process Reengineering, SAP R/3 and the launch of Tata Steel’s eCommerce portal.
Vinaya is a passionate believer in the power of eCommerce, technology and innovation in effective, efficient and transparent B2B eCommerce. He takes special interest in driving ejunction, the CSR initiative of mjunction, which provides computer literacy to 10,000+ persons annually, belonging to the disadvantaged sections of society, which helps them in finding better job opportunities.
He is a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM), USA. He is a practitioner of Theory of Constraints and has attended several sessions of ToC at Goldratt House, Tel Aviv.
Vinaya is an elected member of CII’s Eastern Regional Council since April 2020.
Beyond work, Vinaya likes to play with his dog and spends Sunday mornings tending to his collection of orchids, adeniums and bougainvillea on his terrace garden.
Mr Aninda Chatterjee is Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at mjunction services, where he is responsible for the Finance & Accounts, Secretarial and Legal portfolios.
He is a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a Cost Accountant from Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and an alumni of XLRI Jamshedpur. He has over 30 years of experience in the finance, supply chain, manufacturing, operations management, project management and general management, cutting across various industries.
Before joining mjunction, he was Managing Director of the West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (Webel).
In the past, he has been associated with organisations such as Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Pvt. Ltd., Nokia Siemens Network Pvt. Ltd., Siemens Public Communications Networks Pvt. Ltd., TCG Software Services Pvt. Ltd. and Tata Steel.
Mr. K Senthilnathan serves as the Chief Customer Success Officer at mjunction, a role he has grown into through progressive career development. Having been with mjunction since its inception, he has been instrumental in setting up its steel and coal businesses and was pivotal in launching its customer loyalty marketing business. His efforts have significantly contributed to expanding mjunction’s service portfolio, enhancing customer engagement, and establishing the company as a leader in the B2B e-commerce domain.
In his current role, Senthilnathan oversees the auction and loyalty marketing SBUs, driving strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and the achievement of revenue and EBITDA targets.
With over 25 years of industry experience, Senthilnathan is a recognized expert in commodities such as steel, coal, minerals and more. He has been at the forefront of developing digital marketplaces that have transformed mjunction into a benchmark for innovation and efficiency in the commodity trading sector.
An alumnus of NIT Warangal, Senthilnathan brings a rich professional background in e-commerce, manufacturing, and digital transformation. At mjunction, he has excelled in diverse roles, including sales, business operations, and the incubation of new services. Before joining mjunction, he gained extensive experience at Linde India (formerly BOC Gases), where he focused on sales, distribution, and SAP implementation, further honing his expertise in strategic execution and operational efficiency.
Through his visionary leadership and dedication to excellence, Senthilnathan continues to shape the success of mjunction and the broader commodities trading ecosystem.
Dipankar Mukherjee is the Chief of Marketing and Sales at mjunction. He is responsible for devising and execution of the Corporate Marketing and Sales strategy and achieving the sales revenue target for business units. His responsibilities also include Account Management and delivering growth in new business opportunities for domestic as well as global markets, corporate communications & PR.
Dipankar joined mjunction in November 2016 and has more than 20 years of experience in the Information Technology Industry handling leadership positions in Marketing, Sales and Programme Management mostly around large transformational IT Projects and also consulting customers in their journey of organisational change and business transformation. He brings in experience of working across multiple Industry verticals like Banking & Finance, Insurance, Travel & Logistics, Defence, Manufacturing, Retail and Energy for clients in Public and Private Sector extensively in the Indian and Global markets.
Dipankar was also elected as a member of Confederation of Indian Industry’s West Bengal State Council in 2022-23.
Dipankar did his Management from Bombay University in Marketing and Sales. He is an avid wildlife enthusiast and is part of a few NGO initiatives. His other interests are sports and travelling.
He lives in Kolkata with his wife Sonali and daughters Anushree and Disha.
Deepak is a Mechanical Engineer from Jorhat Engineering College and a PGDM (Marketing) from Assam Institute of Management. He has 27 years of extensive experience in the areas of e-commerce, project management, sales and marketing, business development and key account management.
During the period Jun’1996 – Feb’2004, Deepak was associated with ITW Signode India Ltd, subsidiary of Illinois Tool Works (ITW) Inc., USA, an $ 18 billion Fortune 200 Company. At ITW Signode, Deepak has worked with various strategic business units across PAN-India in the areas of steel and metals packaging, industrial packaging, engineered polymers, non-destructive testing, speciality chemicals and industrial automation. He was instrumental in introducing and managing key customers from various industrial segments, and he also contributed significantly towards development of effective distribution networks.
In Feb’2004, Deepak joined mjunction services ltd., a TATA Steel – SAIL joint venture, which is India’s largest B2B e-commerce company and the world’s largest e-marketplace for steel. He has played a key role in the launch and ramp-up of some of mjunction’s largest businesses, in the supply chain of products like steel, coal, lignite, sand, natural gas and tea. He has been instrumental in building a coal e-market in India, and in enabling online sale of more than 500 million tonnes of coal to 25,000+ buyers located across the country, using mjunction’s hybrid platforms for spot and forward e-auctions. He is currently leading various e-marketplace initiatives for buy and sell of commodities, with the active support of a team of talented professionals to deliver high level of customer satisfaction.
Deepak is a member of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) National Expert Committee on minerals & metals.
Amit Khan is the Chief Information Officer at mjunction, and is responsible for directing and managing computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programmes and schedules for business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications and management of information services.
In mjunction, Amit has been instrumental in implementation of eProcurement projects for large PSUs like BHEL, SAIL, Coal India, Power Grid Corporation and the Ordnance Factory Board. He has also been responsible for building mjunction’s data centre and Disaster Recovery facilities.
In his career spanning 22 years, Amit has worked for leading IT companies and brings with him rich experience in managing large high impact IT projects.
Amit is an Electronics Engineer from Bengal Engineering and Science University, Shibpur.
Beyond work, Amit loves to travel. He also engages in professional networking and has special interest in education and learning.
Amit lives in Kolkata with his wife Gita and daughter Ishana.
Indranil Chaudhuri is the Chief of Procurement Services at mjunction and manages the business verticals that deliver e-procurement services to clients. He is working with mjunction since 2008 and has not only implemented large scale e-procurement projects but also set up successful delivery centres for procurement outsourcing service across diverse locations.
With a cumulative professional experience of 30 years, and prior to joining mjunction, Indranil has spent more than a decade in project management, presales and business development of solutions and services in IT industry.
Indranil is a B.Tech. from Jadavpur University and M.B.A. from University of Calcutta. Beyond work he enjoys listening to music and escaping to the hills and forests of North Bengal. Indranil lives in Kolkata with his aged parents, wife and son.
With over two decades of experience in risk management and internal audit, Manish Mathur leads mjunction’s Risk and Internal Audit functions, ensuring rigorous governance and effective risk oversight. His expertise in establishing resilient audit frameworks and fostering a culture of accountability contributes to mjunction’s commitment to ethical and efficient operations.
Manish holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and a B.Tech. degree, which together underpin his strategic approach to risk and compliance. His distinguished track record in the industry has driven compliance and optimized risk strategies to support business growth.
Paapori Chakravarty is the Head of Human Resources at mjunction. As the Head-HR, Paapori is responsible for developing and executing innovative HR strategies that align with the company’s business objectives as well as leading the HR organization, including all aspects of people management and efforts to attract and retain world-class talent. She is passionate about employee engagement, building high-performing teams and fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
Paapori joined mjunction in July 2022 and has 20 years of experience in the Information Technology Industry handling various leadership positions in the HR function. She brings in experience of working in global organizations in their offices across pan-India locations which has enriched her exposure of the people and cultural dynamics enabling her to imbibe these in the people interventions.
Paapori has graduated in Commerce from Lady Shriram College, University of Delhi in 2002 post which she has completed her Masters in Human Resource and Organizational Development in 2004, also from the University of Delhi. Paapori is trained in classical dance form and is an avid reader, fiction and biographies being her favorite genres.
She lives in Kolkata with her son Aaryan, who is a bundle of energy and loves football, sketching and is a trained gymnast.
Ajay Kumar Tiwari is the Company Secretary of mjunction.
Ajay joined mjunction in October 2015 and has more than 10 years of experience in Secretarial function. He also has experience in Legal & Compliance and Taxation. Prior to mjunction, Ajay served as Company Secretary in Corporates, where he worked closely with the Finance team handling direct and indirect taxation.
Ajay is a Commerce Graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta University. He is an Associate member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and also an Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Beyond work, Ajay is passionate about social work and he also engages in professional networking.
Ajay lives in Kolkata.
Mr. Peeyush Gupta currently holds the portfolio of Vice President Group Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain at Tata Steel. His responsibilities include sourcing of strategic raw materials (Coal, Coke, and Iron ore), Industrial gases and IT for Tata Steel Group (India, Netherlands, and UK) and revenue procurement (comprising of Bulk commodities, MRO- Maintenance, Repair & Operations, consumables, services, and transportation) of Tata Steel India and, UK with an approx. buy of $ 9 Billion (in FY23).
In Supply Chain, he is responsible for Group Shipping (for Indian & European operations), Integrated Planning across production plants, Processing of steel in regions, Raw Material logistics across manufacturing plants / mine sites and movement of finished products to domestic & International customers with an annual spend of $ 2 Billion (in FY23).
Prior to moving to this role, he was leading the commercial responsibility for Indian Operations of Tata Steel as Vice President (Marketing & Sales). He has over 30 years of experience at Tata Steel.
He chairs the board of TM International Logistics Ltd., Creative Port Development Private Limited, Subarnarekha Port Private Limited, and Jamipol Limited, subsidiaries/associate companies of Tata Steel Limited.
He is also a member of the boards of four subsidiaries/associate companies, Tata Steel Downstream Products ltd. (TSDPL), Tata NYK Shipping Pte. Ltd. Singapore, Tata Steel Global Procurement (TSGP) Singapore, and mjunction services ltd. He also chairs the Business council of Agrico and Bearings Division of Tata Steel.

Mr. Banerjee is a tenured TCSer for close to 25 years, who has held multiple technology and business roles in the organization, including managing the US Mid-West business, heading Life-Sciences & Healthcare business in US and heading the Energy and Resources Global Business Unit at a P&L level, being a part of the management team.
Currently he is heading a strategic corporate initiative as Chief Information Officer at Tata Steel Limited to consolidate the emerging Products and Platforms businesses. His roles in the organization has spanned across Heading Projects, Programs, Sales, Delivery, Operations, Business and Corporate initiative and hence helped form an all encompassed view of a large IT organization and its customers and markets.
He has been an extensive traveler across the globe and takes keen interest in ground breaking initiatives. He is actively into fitness and a mentor to the aspiring leaders in the IT industry.
Mr Suresh Rangani joined SAIL in the year 1989. He has discharged duties in the capacity of Finance I/c of Central Marketing Organisation (CMO) Branch Sales Office in Jaipur, Kanpur, Mumbai and Delhi. Also, he held the post of Regional Finance I/c of CMO Northern Region, New Delhi and Southern Region, Chennai. He served as Finance I/c of International Trade Division of CMO. He has worked in functions like Head of Finance in Bhilai Steel Plant and currently working as Executive Director (F&A), Bokaro Steel Plant. Mr Sanjay Agarwal is an alumnus of IIT, BHU having completed his Engineering in 1989. He has been working with Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL), a Maharatna PSU since then.
During his more than 3 decades journey in SAIL, Mr Sanjay Agarwal has worked in various assignments including Production, Communication, Strategic Planning, Sales, Logistics, Corporate functioning, Retail, Sales & Marketing. In course of executing these responsibilities, he has worked at various locations in the country.
A well-travelled individual, Mr Sanjay Agarwal has been to many parts of the country & overseas. He is blessed with 2 daughters. He is currently Executive Director (Marketing) in SAIL operating out of Kolkata.
Syed Jawad Ahmed is Executive Director, Corporate Material Management Group, of SAIL, and is responsible for devising policies and strategies for procurement and inventory and implementing Digital Transformation across the Supply Chain. He is also a Process Owner for Materials Management, Supplier Relation Management, Projects & Logistics in SAIL S4HANA implementation.
Mr Ahmed joined SAIL in 1989 as Management Trainee at SAIL Bokaro Steel Plant and served in several capacities before assuming his current role in 2021. He is a result-oriented Materials professional with expertise in ERP & SAP with over 30 years in diverse roles.
Mr Ahmed has proven expertise in developing and implementing procurement framework for aggregation based procurement as well as optimizing sourcing – globally, regionally and locally while building talent and capabilities.
In 2023, Mr Ahmed was appointed Chairman of Indian Steel Association Procurement Committee.
Jaya Singh Panda currently serves as the Chief of Learning & Development and the Chief Diversity Officer at Tata Steel. She is a member on the Board of a JCAPCPL and is on the Board of Governors of the Board of Practical Training (BOPT), Eastern Region, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India.
In her current role as Chief L&D, she is tasked with overseeing a comprehensive learning ecosystem for the company’s workforce including the contract workers working across different company locations.
She is also the Settlor of the J N Tata Vocational Training Institute (JNTVTI), a public charitable trust, that operates out of eight centres across three states. JNTVTI aims to enhance the employability and employment opportunities of the community’s youth through skill development programs.
In her role as the Chief Diversity Officer, Jaya is dedicated to advancing the company endeavours in creating a vibrant and inclusive workplace for all its employees.
